What Wakes Me Up

Last year I shared about my invisible illnessthat is just one of many. So often I receive many of the same comments others living with an invisible illness do as well. “You just need some more fresh air and sunlight.” “If you didn’t have such a negative attitude about everything, it might seem better.” “You don’t look sick or in pain.”

Ugh!! So often people don’t understand we want to be “normal” just like you or anyone else. We take the 7-10 pills a day, limit certain seemingly “normal” activities and hide how much comments both us to not stand out as what the world sees as strange or weird. We want to be a normal us to fit in society.

When dealing with one or many invisible illnesses daily we have to find joy in things to remind us to keep moving forward and getting out of bed. For me I am blessed my illnesses don’t limit my mobility or cause great pain so I can enjoy many small blessings daily.

Beautiful drives to and from work each day. Right along the river between US and Canada. Now understand why I’m in Almost Canada.

I have a lot to wake up for everyday, even on days it is difficult, painful, or seems a nit too much.
What little things wake you up each day?
