Oh summer…you are the bane of my existence.  I burn with a peak of sun, sweat buckets even when I’m not working out, and have a hard time breathing with all the grass mowing, trees blowing and tons of environment that hates me.

One thing about summer usually rubs me the wrong way…Shorts.  Each year they seem to get shorter and each year I run farther away from the idea.  Oh why does summer clothing have to be so short? But It’s been a hot spring and summer making me long for shorts that could also be comfortable.

When Fresh Produce offered to send me a pair of their Gidget Pedal Pushers to review I was excited.  The reviews sounded promising and company had such good customer service working around my move to ensure I received the shorts instead of them being lost between here and there.

The pedal pushers arrived to my new home the day after I did…just in time for a heat wave.  No better time to test them out.  The fabric was light and comfortable so it was easy to in and out of the garage, basement, and up & down stairs unloading each box to go in the right place.

But these pedal pushers weren’t only cool – ha-ha – they are cute.  My family came to visit during a huge heat wave so I pulled these out of the drawer for a day walking around our new town. 

The cargo pockets saved me from my purse by holding my car keys and iPhone while we explored the nature trails.  Not once did I need to pull them down from riding up. 

The length is perfect for hot days instead of jeans and capris that I’m looking at purchasing another pair or two; they ship to over 200 countries along with their several stores.  I will have to pay careful attention to the color because with such thin fabric light colors could become see through easily. 

With an original price of $69 I wouldn’t have picked these up on my own but I do recommend them and will buy them myself.  The fit is slightly loose with an elastic waist and a draw string.  I’m actively losing weight this little detail is not just for comfort but convenience and flexibility. 

Thank you to Fresh Produce for the Gidget Pedal Pushers, my new favorite summer shorts.  I almost don’t want to take them off.
