We’re home.

Strange to save but we’re in our new home at our new appointment after 6 weeks o’ crazy packing and leaving everything ready for our successors.

Now the fun begins.  Learning my new tasks, setting up the house, helping the dogs adjust and just beginning this portion of our life here in almost Canada.

So much to say or do and so many funny stories I could tell but instead I thing a few funny pictures will do the job.

We’re really leaving…and Hunni is going to sleep the entire drive there.FCFECF78-3747-4A18-A66B-F27CF6BC40A8

No need for car decorations when you have a pomchi.

Way Old Goals

Let’s not lie…these goals are from the middle of June.  But they held up.

  • Organize the boxes.  It all got done.  It was fast and furious but I can find “most” stuff on this end so I think I did a good job.
  • Put away the china.  All my nice tea cups, blog dishes and grandma’s items were packed away in more bubble wrap than anything else.  And they are the first few things I took out…safe and sound.
  • Sweat for stress.  Not only was Zumba my stress relief…so were my Zumba friends.  I love those ladies and sweating while dancing over the last few weeks was what saved my sanity.
  • More veg.  Once my refrigerator was clean I didn’t want to dirty it.  I ate some frozen veggies and things in my pantry.  But most was packed away in favor of to-go, Gluten-free pizza, and meals out with friends to celebrate my last weeks.
  • Water schedule.  I was a bit shy of my water goal.  But I was hydrated beyond belief.  I enjoy the large amount of water because it limits my headaches and other problems.  Now it’s keeping it up..

This Week’s Goals

  • Unpack big boxes.  I need clothes, shoes and food.  The rest can wait.  Oh and I need photos, kitchen appliances, and my bathrobe.  Okay the bathrobe is a desire.  But I’m thankful for my organization so I can open the things I need and make time for the rest as I go along.
  • Set workout schedule.  I’m not in Zumba-land anymore.  My prior appointment had a Zumba studio with classes you could take almost every day of the week.  Up here it’s a bit more difficult.  I’m setting a schedule to try new classes and test out the two gyms around.
  • Meet new people.  I have a goal.  Say hello to new people.  At work it’s easy because it’s my job.  Making personal friends is a bit harder.  I need to step outside my shy box and say hi.  My friend Jenn challenged me so I have to.  I take challenges strongly.
  • Relax. Naps/dog walking/watching the ship locks/ getting lost on purpose.  It’s so easy to get wrapped up with doing in the first month and forget to take a break.  I need to schedule some relaxing.
  • Start paperwork.  There is sooooo much stuff to change over when switching appointments.  I’ve started some but there is a lot more.  Drivers licenses, passports, set up of EVERYTHING. Yep paperwork and I are going to be best friends for a bit.
  • Blog!!! I’ve missed blogging.  So many times I had ideas to blog and desire to blog but no time or energy.  Time to reestablish a habit and system. Open-mouthed smile
