One Eye Done

Have you been so tired you just fall fast asleep without even knowing it? I’m not the type to fall asleep on the couch or while reading. I can’t fall in a car, on a plane, on the beach or anywhere. I need a bed to sleep. It’s even hard for me to sleep in any bed that’s not mine.

So imagine my surprise when I fell asleep on the couch Tuesday…dead asleep. I was so knocked out I don’t remember getting up from the couch and getting into bed. I know I was tired because this is what I looked like when I woke up…

Yes that is one eye still almost completely done up. Guess I sleep soundly on my right side, leaving my left eye make up in tact (almost). It was hilarious and almost tempting to fix up my other eye make up just to run errands for the dad. Don’t worry I washed my face and put back on the exact same look for round two. That’s when you know you are dead tired.

Last Week’s Goals

  • More sorting. Yep! Done and still going.
  • More packing. Ditto! And still going.
  • Concert mania. It’s amazing many days to be blessed by such unique ministries. Even more so when we enjoy them just as much as our congregation.
  • Chug-a-lug. Hydration is a beautiful thing. I have so much more energy when I drink water & so much more to sweat while working out.
  • Switch it over. Paperwork is a pain !!! Several documents signed, accounts transferred and to-do lists for the rest. It’s me after all.
  • Check my diet. The dietitian was not helpful at all! She didn’t listen to my concerns and gave the speech I could have given anyone. Food pyramid, plate method, calorie counting. Got those. I was telling her about alternative grains and milks for allergies. Grrr! I will wait until we move to find another I am comfortable with.
  • Menu mania. I forgot most of my fridge is frozen veggies so I came up with some fun ways to use them. Now to do so with as few pans as possible. The rest are packed or stored.
  • Sweat out the stress. Im sooooo thankful for friends who are such a great support while getting ready to move but also a great support of good workout habits. I am going to miss my Zumba family so I’m soaking up every bit I can now.

This Week’s Goals

  • Check apartment tasks off the list. I have two lists: one for the church & one for home. Both are going well but I hope to have the apartment finished this week. That leaves time for the cleaners and repair tasks … And for me to breathe.
  • Shed it all. No this isn’t Watergate and I’m not shredding everything, but definitely a lot. I save almost all documents just-in-case. Now is the time to make confetti for box packing with what I don’t need.
  • Sweat and shout. I pre-paid a lot of Zumba classes not know I was moving. I intend to use every.last.one.
  • Write it all out. I have to write a how-to book for our job. Lucky me I have a heady start with only 30 more pages to go…not kidding. Also I’d love to finish blog post drafts…you know in my free time. :) .
  • Travel, travel, travel. For some reason HQ & we scheduled a crap ton of meetings and travel for our last month. Let the long trips begin.
  • Sleep. It’s so easy to let all the to-do’s invade my brain causing insomnia. Instead I plan to wear myself out each day with work & play so I sleep.
