Rest from the Insanity

Sickness, heat and fatigue compounded this weekend and I ended up in bed sick. Wahoo! Even better Hunni was away for work. Peanut & Leo kept me company. So did my nook. I downloaded a new book to entertain me between long naps & Word With Friends.

I guess my body needed to rest and take it easy. Now back to the regular scheduled insanity.

Last Week’s Goals

  • Sort and box. It starting to look like when we first moved in. Boxes everywhere, full trash bags, bubble wrap.
  • Cook pantry meals. I cooked. Honestly i did but not as much as i should convenience won out when accomplishing big tasks. I need to regroup.
  • No apologies. Making no apologizes has helped me work on the few posts I really want right now. I do have occasional pangs of guilt for not writing but only when I let my mind rest from the crazy. I’m here and miss it but I can’t apologize – at least out loud or in writing – for my lack of blogging time for a bit.
  • Show off my organization. I’m well ahead on the organization and it’s going well. I think it may be driving Hunni nuts – heck somedays it drives me nuts – but I’m so happy to be ahead instead of scrambling.
  • Read something. My books are packed but my nook is charged and ready for enjoyment when possible. I’m even selecting an Audible Book for when we make the final trip up to our new home.
  • Dance in the street. ; Literally one of the best days of my 4 years here. Such fun with friends raising money for cancer research. More of a full post to come.

This Week’s Goals

  • More sorting. Yep!
  • More packing. Ditto!
  • Concert mania. Hunni and I are going to a concert on Friday. It’s work…really it is. I love my job. Smile
  • Chug-a-lug. I’m a bit dehydrated from being sick and I’ve been slacking on drinking my water during the week.
  • Switch it over. I cancelled one gym membership – yes I have two – and now I have to cancel the other plus start making arrangements for transitioning bills and accounts.
  • Check my diet.

  • I have an appointment with a dietitian to talk about my diet to see why the weight isn’t coming off. I know I have some bad habits and am blessed to have insurance to see a dietitian.
  • Menu mania. I have good intentions for meals – especially to use up foods. But then I get busy with work and packing. I created a quick menu of super simple, I mean super super simple meals to actually eat instead of forgetting. Sweat out the stress. Moving is super stressful. I forgot that. But working out is a great relaxation. Bonus I work out with some of my best friends. So I’m making sure not to skimp on them to fit in more packing.
