rework 101

My 101 in 1001 goals list was created with lots of wishes and some fun.  Some of the tasks I knew I complete but wanted the push.  Others were dreams of things I hoped to accomplish in the almost 3 years.  And some I just had no idea.

Instead of killing myself to accomplish some or knowing I will fail miserably I’m adapting my list.  The best is lesson learned is I’ve changed over the last almost 900 days and change is important to those goals too.

So here are the changes to my 101 Goals:

4.  Go on a Caribbean Cruise Visit 5 local tourist attractionsOur honeymoon was going to be a cruise before I needed surgery.  Now we enjoy smaller fun trips more than things like a cruise.

8. Adopt a baby from Ethiopia  Begin approval process for domestic adoption. – Hunni and I would love to adopt internationally but our heart is on domestic adoption and children in the foster care system.

9.  Save $1000 in fun money Pay extra money towards debt each month. -  We are paying on our debts but could pay them much quicker if we added even more each month. That would make saving fun money easier later.

23.  Participate in a triathlon Swim 50 laps.I love swimming but never make it a priority.  Since allergies make triathlons a difficult I’m challenging myself to another physical goal.

27.  Read Don Quixote I (in Spanish) Read one new book from the BBC list. – I love those lists and this will be a good reason to venture into the classic part of the library.

28.  Read Don Quixote II (in Spanish) Read a Printz award winner.  – I love YA literature so it will be great to search the list and find a book to read.

29.  Go on vacation with Scott and Sandra Vacation with friends.  We have ideas to vacation with several different sets of friends but with our jobs we’ll have to keep planning.

32.  Start Masters of Divinity Courses Take continuing education classes. - Hunni will be starting his course work first so I will not be taking Masters Classes for a bit.

47.  Have family game night once a week party – I did not pay attention to my basic schedule when planning this goal.  Instead we’re going to plan one fun game night party with old fun family games.

90.  Purchase a Garmin Forerunner and Learn to use it. Pay for quality 2 new quality sports bras. -I love my Polar HRM so much I bought an upgrade.  No need for a Garmin too.  Instead I’m buying something that’s truly a necessity.

The others I’ll work on and enjoy the remainder of my 1001 days. Smile
