Real Questions for Real Nerdfighters

First off as Nerdfighters we don’t fight nerds…I am one so that would be strange.  The Vlog Brothers channel has a community of people interested in different things but extremely passionate about them.

A regular theme is Real Questions from Real Nerdfighters but today I’m doing…

nerdfighter q

  1. I’ve been a Nerdfighter for 2 years.  In a miraculous fate of YouTube one of John’s videos was recommended to me after searching for something totally unrelated.
  2. My favorite Hank video is Thoughts on SOPA from New Orleans and my favorite John video is Fatherhood.
  3. I work for The Salvation Army as a pastor and have supported them even before then.  I also support Kiva.org, March of Dimes, American Heart Association and Autism Speaks because they all touch me personally.
  4. I hope my Famous Last Words would be “It was worth it.”  Long story.  More than likely they’ll be something crazy like, “But it just itches.”
  5. My favorite thing about being a nerd is enjoying the collection of knowledge and using it to beat people at games.  So much fun.  I can be engaged in so many thing to make me a nerd, not just computers and books.
  6. Oh the punishments are so fun.  I enjoyed John licking a cat because he had to find a strange cat to lick.  So odd.  My favorite Hank punishment is spending the day in Target.  I’ve often dreamed of doing this and the video makes it looks fun.  Then I remember 15 hours is edited into 5 minutes.  I think I’ll just watch the video again.
  7. Must I only pick 3 Hank songs?  Okay.  I love Ulcerative Colitis.  Now that’s a phrase I never thought I’d write.  But the song reminds me how I feel about my GI problems.  I Know is a conversation Hunni and I have over and over.  Shake-a-booty is my absolute favorite because I played it for my friends son and he kept dancing – shaking his booty.  Still makes me giggle.
  8. Why is a banana peel on the floor like music?  Because if you don’t see sharp (C#) you’ll be flat (Bb). ~Music Nerd Joke
  9. Looking for Alaska is my absolute favorite because I felt like the characters when I was in high school.  It was a crazy time for me and each of these characters fit a piece of me in my teen years.  And no spoilers but I love the shift in the middle of the book.
  10. DFTBA – Dogs face the beach always.  Peanut & Leo love the beach and find it wherever they can.
